Kyla Grace

I thought I'd something a little different for this post. This is my first time combining video and photography. I've been wanting to do this for a while now but to be honest, never figured out how to use the video feature in my camera! Anyway, here is Kyla Grace and her parents. She is such a precious little peanut! Thank you Candis and Sean for letting me take your images and for indulging me with my little video experiment! The song is by Elizabeth Mitchell.

Mya and Lily

When I heard that my husband's cousin Lisa and her husband were expecting twins, I immediately thought "newborn photo shoot!!" I've been taking a little hiatus from photography these last couple of months but I couldn't pass up this opportunity. What a double blessing! I have not held a newborn, let alone two since my last newborn shoot. I forgot how wonderful they smell and the cute little noises they make when hungry.

Lisa looked like an absolute pro holding her gorgeous girls. It seemed like she and her husband Matt have been doing this for years. They were so relaxed even with all my indecisiveness when it came to positioning the babies.

Lisa and Matt also have the best decorating and construction skills. I love their taste in furniture. I wish I had more time to take images of their gorgeous home. I'll probably have to bug them to come over their house sometime just so I can take pictures of their beautiful home :) .

Lisa and Matt, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to capture such an amazing time of your girls' life! You both are already wonderful parents! I am so thankful and proud to be a part of your family.

Audrey

Isn't she a cute little peanut? This gorgeous little girl gave the sweetest of smiles.

I think she will grow up to have a great sense of humor because she also gave me this look:

Her parents were the coolest of clients.

They gave me free reign of their beautiful home. I don't think I've had anyone more laid back than these two first time parents.

Their dog, Chauncey(sp?) also got in on the action.

Audrey's parents were still waiting on her baby furniture to arrive so they were not sure about taking some pictures up in her room. Fortunately for me they were kind enough to show her nursery and I almost squealed in delight when I saw Little Audrey's book shelf:

Pure Sweetness

It's been a few months since I have photographed a newborn baby girl so I was very excited when this gorgeousl little one arrived. I was able to get a couple of awake images and at one point she was so content to just look around at her surroundings while I clicked away.

I always feel a little guilty for the babies when they've finally fallen into that deep sleep and here I am trying to change their position.

But I hope it is all worth it especially to the parents when they see an image of their baby all curled up looking beautiful and perfect.

I think her mom looked perfect as well. Can I just say how completely flawless mom's skin is??? It's like porcelain and this little girl is going to be just as beautiful and sweet as her mommy!

In Black and White

And an out take from the shoot. Unfortunately I did not get any solo images of him on the bed. I think the poor little guy had enough of my camera because this was taken at the end of the shoot. He was such a trooper though and easy on the eyes as you can see!

Precious Moments

Little Baby J {sigh}. He was just the sweetest thing. Photographing him made me seriously think about having just one more.

And fuzzy hair (the only time back hair is considered adorable ;P ).

His gorgeous big sister loved posing me for me.

In fact, they were all gorgeous.

Baby love is just the most precious thing and I always feel so lucky to have been able to capture these moments.

Canvas

I have been meaning to post pictures of this 20 x 30 inch canvas for a client but just haven't had the chance. I love walking in someone's home and seeing a huge photograph on the wall. I love it even more when that photograph is a canvas photo like this one. They come covered in the back and ready to hang so you don't have to worry about finding the right frame. When in doubt, go for the bigger size. For me, bigger is better when it comes to canvas photographs. :)

Can't Get Enough...

...Of this adorable little girl! Baby Madeline is just such a sweetheart! Just looking at her makes my heart melt.

Vintage Baby

Baby Madeline Grace born on Aug. 13th, 2008 , 7lbs. 6oz., 19.5 inches long, and just absolutely perfect!

Not sure if this kind of processing works for this image. I usually like babies better in black and white so I am just trying out something different.
