Happy Easter!
The kids and I went "peep" shopping the other day. There were all different kinds of chicks sorted out in several tubs. It was quite a sight seeing all the different types of baby chicks chirping away. I hope everyone had a Happy Easter today!

Kyla Grace
I thought I'd something a little different for this post. This is my first time combining video and photography. I've been wanting to do this for a while now but to be honest, never figured out how to use the video feature in my camera! Anyway, here is Kyla Grace and her parents. She is such a precious little peanut! Thank you Candis and Sean for letting me take your images and for indulging me with my little video experiment! The song is by Elizabeth Mitchell.
Here are some photos of that day.

Three Is The Magic Number
Remember THIS family shoot I did last year? The "S" family wanted me to do an urban style photo-shoot for their Christmas cards this year. I've been searching for a really cool location for some urban style photos and fortunately Tara (the children's mom) came to the rescue and told me about Dave Grohl Alley. We scoped it out a few weeks ago and when I saw it I thought it was perfect.
Sometimes I am just amazed at how well other children listen to me. My own children are extremely difficult to photograph and it was absolutely refreshing to see other people's children listen to me when I tell them what to do, LOL!
The youngest, Maddie has the most beautiful little curls along with the sweetest smile. She did not fuss one bit even with the weather being quite chilly.
Logan, who is a little shy but is just as much a sweetheart as the other two.
It didn't take him long for him to warm up and show me those gorgeous baby blue eyes. When you see them in person they are absolutely mesmerizing.
Then there's Reed, the oldest. He would totally make a great GAP or JCrew Kids model, don't you think?
To the parents Tara and Brian, thank you so much for letting me have free reign with your kids! It is always a pleasure taking their images and seeing how they grow every year!
An just for fun, here's little out take while I was taking Reed's photo. Maddie wanted to stand next to her big brother. :)
Here's a little slideshow:

Mya and Lily
When I heard that my husband's cousin Lisa and her husband were expecting twins, I immediately thought "newborn photo shoot!!" I've been taking a little hiatus from photography these last couple of months but I couldn't pass up this opportunity. What a double blessing! I have not held a newborn, let alone two since my last newborn shoot. I forgot how wonderful they smell and the cute little noises they make when hungry.
Lisa looked like an absolute pro holding her gorgeous girls. It seemed like she and her husband Matt have been doing this for years. They were so relaxed even with all my indecisiveness when it came to positioning the babies.
Lisa and Matt also have the best decorating and construction skills. I love their taste in furniture. I wish I had more time to take images of their gorgeous home. I'll probably have to bug them to come over their house sometime just so I can take pictures of their beautiful home :) .
Lisa and Matt, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to capture such an amazing time of your girls' life! You both are already wonderful parents! I am so thankful and proud to be a part of your family.

My Two 4 Year Olds
You would think after four years I would get used to the fact that for a few days my children are the same age. It's still weird to me, LOL. They are eleven and a half months apart. My husband and I did not plan for them to be so close but we are so glad it turned out this way. They are absolute best friends.

First Communion
First Communion is considered one of the holiest and most important occasions in a Roman Catholic's life. It means that person has received the Sacrament of the Eucharist, the body and blood of Jesus Christ. I first met Kelsey and her family when I used to teach preschool. She was one of my students. She was an adorable little girl and is growing up to be a sweet young lady as well. I am honored to take her first communion images and hope that she and her family and enjoy these images as much as I had taking them.
Her little brother Liam happens to be my son's classmate.
He was so much fun to photograph. I had him to myself for a couple of minutes and he gave me the best poses.
And finally, just a few details:
To the M family, thank you for letting me photograph your children!!
